DREAMING OF CAKE.
My name is Fiona and I am the owner and designer at Dragonfly Cakes, located in the stunning Hunter Valley in New South Wales.
I’m a local girl, born and raised in Newcastle in a family where we love to cook and entertain. Add to that a childhood of birthday cakes made from the iconic Australian Woman’s Weekly Birthday Cake book well, it only seems natural that Dragonfly Cakes was born. To begin with it was a side business, something to help bring some balance to my “day job” but it just grew and grew and grew …
I have an absolute passion for weddings and events and I love talking all things cake, but above all I believe that life is too short to eat bad cake - so when you choose our cakes you can be assured that they taste amazing, right to the very last bite!
Dragonfly Cakes has been delivering stunning & unique wedding and event cakes to the Hunter Region, Newcastle, Port Stephens & Central Coast regions for almost 10 years. We are also available for travel for destination weddings depending on availability.
In early 2020 we opened our shopfront in Weston up in the Hunter Valley - at this site we have our kitchen, office, studio and general workplace but we have a space for onsite appointments for our wedding couples and we will be offering small group and private lessons.
